The Britannia Mine Museum is probably a part of every British Columbian’s childhood, including my own!
And so .. the torch passed when we became a family and our kids grew up with a few tours and visits under their belts. As soon as the truck was visible, they knew a day of fun was just moments away.
Located along BC’s famous Sea to Sky Highway, the mine is approximately 10 minutes south of Squamish in Britannia Beach, BC.
It has been amazing to look back at the mine and all of the visits over the last 4+ decades and see the changes that has brought it to the Award Winning National Historic Site it is today!
The Heritage Site itself is ten acres with 17 buildings (a mix of both Industrial and Residential). So come and visit the knowledgeable guides here and take a tour back through history!!
