There’s this boy … he stole my heart … his name is Fred … and Fred got sick 🙁

Many many years ago, 1992 to be exact, we had a older Ford Van.  It was a great vehicle for moving stuff, going camping and at the time it was our main form of transportation … the only problem was the engine just wasn’t working the way it should have been.  After calling a number of mechanics, wreckers and engine rebuilders we finally came across ‘Canada Engines’.  This was our first experience with them and it was nothing short of perfect.  The van lasted for many more trips, ventures, moving friends and family outings.

Years later we had an issue with another vehicle and once again off to Canada Engines we went for a new rebuilt motor.

Many many years later … (the present)

After doing numerous repairs to our tow vehicle (our 2004 Jeep Liberty) to prep for our next adventure … we encountered a major problem.  After coming home from a long day we decided to go out for Thai, jumped in ‘Fred’, started him up and he disagreed with our plans …

First things first … ORDERED FOOD (I get kinda’ cranky like that)!

Then we called the tow company! 😉 BCAA and then a call to Canada Engines.

The call to Canada Engines was greeted with familiar voices; how nice it was to see the parties we had dealt with aaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way back to the 90’s were still there!  After speaking, they quickly put an action plan in place to replace the motor and seemed surprised to learn that he was already en route prior to calling them … however I explained I would not take it anywhere else because of prior experiences and we were advised we would probably be Fredless for at least 9 days.

He arrived late Tuesday and was back up and running by Friday afternoon; ready and waiting.

Although I’ve only used their engine services, they provide much more!  I had the pleasure of checking out a ‘Rat Rod’ as they were in the process of installing a new engine! They have a very large professional shop, making it an easy one stop for all your motor needs. I also got to see a number of commercial vehicles, boats and RV’s being worked on.

If you are ever in need of an engine, I  highly recommend checking out Canada Engines.  They are a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and are approved by the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA).  Canada Engines offers reliable Rebuilt/Remanufactured, Domestic/Import, Gas/Diesel Engines along with Full Service Automotive and Truck Repairs.

Give them a call at 604-580-1050 or toll free at 1-800-665-3570!

A very special thanks to Ron, Justin, Steve and Darrell along with all the rest of the staff at Canada Engines.
