Eco Adventure Park
The Buena Vista del Rincon Eco Adventure Park is incredible, simply incredible. They offer a wide range of activities from Horse Back Riding to Zip Lines to a unique water slide; just to mention a few.
We started our visit we with horseback riding, which brought us to an area where we disembarked and then hiked into an area to see a spectacular water fall. After that we proceeded on a short walk down to the thermal pools and after a quick change into swimming gear, we enjoyed the sauna and then after a good rinse it was time to relax in the thermal pools. There are a number of pools, all varying in temperature. You can also opt for a nice massage (these are extra but the cost is very nominal).
Exploring
The park is a magical destination for ecotourism and home to a unique 400-meter extreme water slide … where you speed through the jungle.
Waterslide
We then proceeded onto a tractor ride back to the central area for where we then hiked up a gently sloped hill with stairs to enjoy the water slide. The waters a little chilly but rather refreshing in the heat. We had the opportunity to ride more than once which was really cool.
Once we all gathered up we proceeded to have lunch; after all you will work up an appetite. The food is fresh and extremely good, they offer a number of options, including coffee & natural drinks.
Traditional Cuisine
We ended our adventure with a number of zip lines. This was awesome because you zip above canyons from side to side. Once you complete this they offer some juice (or you could opt for some spirits) to finalize your day. They have also taken pictures throughout the day and offer them for viewing & sale at the end of the tour. Make sure to bring some extra cash with you so you don’t miss out on any of the extras you may like to have. The tour guides are incredible and very knowledgeable about the history of the area and provided a lot of information on the way to the park (so make sure to listen – it will make your day a whole lot easier) 😉
Zip Lines
If you’re looking for adventure while in Costa Rica, make this one of your destinations! The park is located in the Province of Guanacaste; approximately 25kms northeast of Liberia, Costa Rica.
We had booked our tour through our hotel (Planet Hollywood) with the PH Experience tour desk. They offered a number of tours but this one seemed to be very diverse; and it was truly worth taking.
